Description
Our premium quality 35 amp, 50 volt DC 125/250VAC push-button reset circuit breaker for Golden mobility scooters and power chairs features a threaded metal shaft, threaded collar, ring, and clear plastic boot cover. A wide range of mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs (aka power chairs) protect their electronics with this 35A breaker. This push button style breaker is suitable for use on all 24 volt systems.
Our breakers use a dual D-style chamfered shaft designed to fit approximately 7/16" hole. These breakers are very easy to install or replace and are Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) Listed.
A scooter breaker is a safety device to protect the scooter’s electric motor from abnormal electrical overloads and subsequent damage from overheating. Often overlooked but easy to install and relatively inexpensive, a push-button reset circuit breaker should be immediately replaced when broken, damaged, or corroded. Also referred to as the non-technical term of reset button by some electric scooter manufacturers.

Questions
I only need to replace the plastic boot cover which has been ripped. Is it necessary to open the battery pack to replace just the boot cover? What is the procedure? Thank for your help!
Depending on the model of your scooter or power chair, you might not need to open the battery pack to replace the boot. On some scooters, there's a hexagonal metal ring holding the boot on on the outside of the battery pack. If you see the metal ring on yours, try twisting it around until it loosens and comes off. Then, you'll be able to install a new boot and put the ring back on. If there is no hexagonal metal ring visible, it either could have fallen off or perhaps the ring is inside the battery pack.
