EX for Extreme, the Golden Buzzaround EX 3-wheeler offers a serious upgrade in power from the earlier Buzzaround series models. Instead of using the relatively low-powered 24 volt 12 Ah or 22 Ah battery packs of their earlier Buzzaround predecessors, the Buzzaround EX uses a potent 24 volt 35 Ah (aka U1) battery pack for more "oomph!" and a longer between-charge running time. An additional feature of the Buzzaround EX series is their optional off-board battery charging dock that allows the batteries to be removed from the scooter and recharged without removing them from their battery box. This is a very convenient system for users who take their Buzzaround EX scooter with them on longer road trips. Unlike most scooter models with a single battery box enclosing both batteries, the Buzzaround EX has a pair of battery boxes, one battery per box, and one box on each side of the seat tower.
