If your Companion scooter was made in early 2013 or after, then this key switch with keys for the Golden Technologies Companion I (GC240) and II (GC340, GC440) scooters (Type 2) is the one that you will want to use.
Please note that this key cylinder is factory OEM for second generation Companion I (GC240) and II (GC340, GC440) scooter models manufactured since early 2013. In addition, this switch and key set is serial number specific. It is only compatible with the following:
Companion I GC240 - made in or after January 2013, or # TTA13A0133
Companion II GC340 - made in or after January 2013, or # TCA13A0601
Companion II GC440 - made in or after March 2013, or # QCA13C0001
Buzzaround Lite GB106 - made in or after January 2013, or # TS13A0001
Buzzaround XL GB116 - made in or after February 2013, or # TXL13B0001
Buzzaround XL GB146 - made in or after February 2013, or # TXL13B0001

Thank you for the photos on your website, I was able to zoom in on the number on the part and match it to the part I pulled from the scooter. It was a perfect match and got the scooter working again. The distributor we bought the scooter from insisted they could not help without a serial number. We couldn’t give them the number bc it was worn off the sticker. Again thank you for such accurate photos!
