|We have mobility battery packs for all the top brands and models of mobility products. Our mobility scooter batteries are of a premium quality of identical or exceeding quality than that of your original scooter, wheel chair, or power chair battery.|
We offer mobility battery packs ranging in size of 7 amp hour (for lightweight travel mobility scooters) up to 110 amp hour for large capacity and long range power chairs. Many of our larger mobility scooter batteries are offered in both Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) and gel configurations. Gel mobility battery packs offer several advantages over their AGM counterparts, including a longer lifespan. Our Premium mobility scooter batteries are from the top manufacturers in the sealed lead acid battery industry, and may be our MSP brand, Rhino, Universal Battery, or MK Battery.
The 24 volt system.
All mobility products use a 24 volt electrical system. In terms of batteries, that means your mobility product will need two 12 volt batteries. 24 volt battery packs consist of two identical 12 volt batteries. Mobility battery and power chair battery packs should always be replaced with a complete set.
Many mobility battery chargers have a low voltage sensor which will not allow it to active if the voltage of the power chair battery pack is significantly below 24 volts. One fully charged 12 volt mobility battery and one very low charge mobility or power chair battery will not operate your mobility scooter, power chair, or power wheel chair.
The most common size of mobility battery is the U1 battery. This U1 battery is universal in physical dimensions, but varies in its amp hour rating. We have U1 mobility scooter and power chair battery packs with ratings ranging from 31 amp hour to 35 amp hour. The difference in the amp hour rating of the U1 mobility scooter batteries will affect the range or length of time that the battery will hold a charge. The amp hour rating does not affect the top speed or lifespan of the mobility battery, or compatibility with your particular mobility product. We also have Half U1 mobility battery packs and 22NF mobility battery packs that are universal in physical size but with different amp hour ratings.
Please be sure to check all shipping options available at checkout for your mobility battery purchase. We offer very affordable shipping via USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes. We want to provide you with mobility scooter batteries not only with exceptional quality, but at an affordable overall price.
How do I test my 12 volt battery cell, and how do I know if it should be replaced?
We recommend you charge your battery with your regular battery charger and let the battery sit for an hour prior to testing. A 12 volt sealed lead acid battery can be tested with any standard multimeter or voltmeter equipped with a digital output. Attach the meter’s leads directly to the positive and negative terminal of the battery cell, and test the direct current voltage (or "potential") of the battery.
Compare the voltage reading to the below table to determine the status of your battery. Any 12 volt battery cell below the level of 11.90 volts is considered fully depleted and should be replaced immediately.
