Description

If you want a great value in a popular brake component, now you can replace your rear brake with this 80 mm rear band brake assembly that is compatible with many brands and models.

  • Riveted band
  • 80 mm inner diameter
  • 3-1/8" outside rotor diameter

  • Many electric scooters and most bicycles these days eschew band brakes for either caliper brakes, disc brakes, or coaster brakes. Nonetheless, many current models such as 3-wheel trikes like the Schwinn Meridian series still use this tried & true system as band brakes are still the best method around when it comes to applying the brake to a small 2-wheel axle barrel. Unlike the larger drum brakes used on automobiles, band brakes provide braking friction by using a spring-like metal band that clamps down on the spinning rotor.

NOTE: Compatibility lists are compiled based on information from various sources and are accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, please verify your compatibility before ordering.

Axle shaft hole will require enlargement to fit my application. Not a big problem!
We're sorry to hear it did not work exactly for your application. There are quite a few units we have confirmed it for but outside of that it may require modification for it to work.

Works well, fits like the original on my E300. Did not like the FedEx Smartpost method. Takes longer and tracking details fall off once it gets into USPS's hands.
