Unlike most electric mobility scooters, the Pride Mobility Raptor (R3-1700) and it's Baja Mobility Raptor 2 (BA300) clone both use a similar braking system as might be found in a full-size gas-powered street scooter. In keeping with the model's "street" style, the brake handle for the Raptor (R3-1700 or BA300) scooter fits onto the left side of the scooter's handlebar (or "tiller"). A traditional brake cable (not included) runs from the lever down to the scooter's front brake drum.
