When you are getting these haunted-like symptoms, it just means you need a new throttle pot. We have the complete throttle pot assembly with the "wig-wag" style lever used on the CTM Homecare 3 and 5 series mobility scooters. Please note this particular assembly was used on those models manufactured in May of 2005 and after.

Questions
Replaced the batteries but we still have an issue with the scooter taking off or shuddering or jerky speed up. Will ordering a new throttle assembly correct this?
It may be the throttle pot assembly, or it could be the speed pot that may be faulty. Are you having any issues going forward and reverse? If so, it may be the throttle pot. If not, and it is strictly speed issues, then it could be the speed pot. We suggest reaching out to a technician to advise exactly which component has gone out.

Thought it would be a direct replacement part, but had to splice some wires to the speed control to make it work.
overall worked great though
