The 36 volt hub motor and red rim for the Jetson® Bolt electric bike combine both functions into a single piece. Included with the hub motor & rim is the axle, crown nuts, and an 8-wire harness.

The hub motor/wheel assembly is an old idea that is enjoying a new renaissance of popularity. Without a separate rim or other superfluous parts, these hub motor/drive wheel units allow lightweight power in a small package. Combined with 21st-century Lithium battery technology, the hub motor system has revolutionized the realm of electric bikes and scooters.

The 12-1/2"x2-1/4" pneumatic tire included in this kit is a top-quality aftermarket bike tire that uses Wanda's pebble-grained street tread pattern, a directional design that is intended to be mounted with the v-shaped sipes facing forward. This helps to provide the Bolt with a better top speed and more nimble maneuverability than that which a true knobby tread tire would offer.

This kit also includes a 12-1/2"x2-1/4" inner tube with a 45 degree angled valve stem that will keep you rolling smoothly. The angled valve stem allows you snap the pump's air chuck on quickly and easily without the frustration that often comes with straight valve stems.
