A good throttle cable is an absolute must on any mini bike, but like brake cables, throttle cables can eventually stretch, bind, kink, or rust. If your Coleman KT196 mini bike's cable begins to give problems you need to replace it as soon as possible; it simply won't get better on its own.

Like brake cables, throttle cables offer a little leeway when it comes to the proper length. Of course, you don't want it too short, a barely reaching cable will soon pop out and possibly break your throttle in the process.
