Most of our motors for electric scooters are capable of rotation in either direction, with the exception of some, but not all, of the Currie line-up of electric scooter motor. Some Currie models are equipped with a roller clutch assembly that only permits sprocket rotation in one direction. See the specification or item description tab for details.
Additionally, please note that our electric scooter motor models are available with a variety of belt and chain pitch sizes. In general, most scooter electric motor models with a belt sprocket have a pitch of 5 mm. Most low power motors for electric scooters with a chain sprocket use a #25 chain, and most high output scooter motors use an 8 mm 05T chain sprocket.
While we have all of these belt and chain sizes in stock, please be sure to read the detailed specifications tab for each item to ensure your sprocket matches your existing chain and wheel sprocket size. If a motor specifically states your make and model as compatible, there will be no need to check your chain & sprocket size, we've already done that for you!
