The 5K Ohm throttle potentiometer (or "throttle pot") is also known as the engager or throttle switch. Faulty throttle potentiometers can lead to "jerky" motion while throttling, or no motion at all. This generic 5K (5000 ohm) throttle pot is manufactured to the highest standards.

Note: We strongly recommend soldering the wiring for a proper connection. A patient mechanic with perfect eyesight might be able to thread the wires through the connector loops and crimp them securely, however we discourage this in lieu of proper soldering.
