Description

Some bolts just aren't very effective unless they have the proper nut to accompany them. Finding the right nut can sometimes be a little frustrating unless you have a friend like Monster Scooter Parts to help.

Here is the 1/4-20 lock nut with the nylon insert that can be found on a number of major brand name scooters and power chairs. This style nut is uses a nylon insert that creates a tight fitting "lock" when the proper size bolt is threaded onto it. This makes for an extra secure fit.

The 1/4-20 zinc-plated lock nut certainly has an almost universal compatibility and application. In fact, this humble little lock nut just may be THE most common scooter and power chair part of them all!

Almost all of the major mobility brands use this size fastener. Pride Mobility as an example uses this size lock nut on almost all of its mobility scooters, Jazzy and Quantum power chairs, even Pride's Silver Star line of scooter lifts use this ubiquitous fastener. With far too many mobility products to name for which this unassuming little nut finds its place, the 1/4-20 works on basket hangers, crutch holders, freewheel levers, seat frames, seat levers, tiller joints, and the list goes on and on.
