Description
This is the battery charger that you want for your newer, second-generation versions of the Companion scooter (GC240, GC340, and GC440). It will also work with the Alante Jr. (GP200) and Compass Sport (GP605) power chairs. Made by High Power, a very respected name in battery charger technology, this three stage battery charger comes with an automatic shutoff feature and sports a standard XLR connector.
LED lights indicate battery charge level as follows:
Red - Power On
Yellow - Charging
Green - Full Charge
Off - Disconnect
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed. Dry location use only.
Please note that the older versions of the Companion scooter (GC221, GC321, and GC421) use an on-board battery charger.

This charger doesn't indicate whether or not it would work with gel batteries, so we might suggest the 24 Volt 5.0 Amp XLR Gel Battery Charger instead, it is item number X97-0601 on our website. You can find it here:

Will this work with a Golden Alante 2 Rear Wheel? The manual shows it to be a 3 prong connector at 4 Amps.
This 4.0 amp XLR (3-prong) battery charger will work just fine in your Golden Alante as long as it has the 35 AH (amp hour) size batteries.
