Questions

Hi, I need help finding part for this engine. Like pulling starter, the seals, high performance spark plug, piston and rod I think that's the words the part in the middle.
All of our available replacement parts for the 48cc bicycle engine are listed at the link below. If you need a part that is not listed, likely it is a piece not sold separately from the complete engine.

How do I tell if I have a 48 or 80 cc?
Unfortunately, it is tricky to differentiate between a 48 and and 80cc motor as they are not all manufactured to the same standards. If it is not a unit from Monster Scooter Parts, that would be harder to answer. Some engines (including our own) have a stamped number on the case, indicating the CC's. Otherwise, you might be able to take it to a small engine repair shop for help on determining which one it is. Remember that we are happy to pull up your account and go over any previous parts purchased; if the motor was ordered with us, we can tell you which one it is.
How many gallons per mile does a 48cc motor get and do you have to mix oil with it?
This 2-stroke engine requires a 16:1 gas-to-oil mix when new. After a suitable "break-in" period of about 300 miles you can switch over to a leaner 20:1 mixture.

As for the MPG of this engine, unfortunately, we would be unable to advise on the MPG rating of this engine as the MPG would depend on a variety of factors including rider weight, wheel size, and terrain, to name a few.
