Lithium battery technology has completely changed the concept of the electric-powered bicycle. Instead of the heavy Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries of yesteryear, the very lightweight Lithium batteries offer a more rapid recharge and a longer between-charge cycle.
Note: Lithium-ion batteries must be charged with a Lithium-compatible battery charger such as the one that we include with this pack. In addition, this 48 volt 2.0 amp Lithium battery charger should only be used on 48 volt Lithium-ion battery systems. It will NOT work with regular Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries. Trying to so may damage the charger, the batteries, or both.

Is it waterproof?
It is not waterproof. While the case is fairly well sealed to debris and weather resistant, it is not completely waterproof. You should not use the battery pack underwater or in heavy rains.
What are the dimensions of this unit as I don't know if it will fit?
This Lithium Battery Pack is about 14" in length, 3-1/2" in width and 3-1/2" tall.
