The 24 volt 200 watt MY1016 electric motor with a 10 tooth #25 chain sprocket is a great motor for a custom scooter project. Most motors of this class sport a standard 11-tooth sprocket, but this little gem just rises above the herd with its 10-tooth chain pusher.
A good rule of thumb to use with scooter motors and their sprockets is: the fewer the teeth, the higher the top speed, but slower the initial acceleration. The more teeth, the faster the acceleration, but the slower the top speed.
This motor comes with the pre-installed mounting bracket, male tab wire connectors, and it is capable of rotation in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction by reversing the motor's power wires.
