Description

Here is an excellent 36 volt 1000 watt universal voltage/speed controller for electric scooters, bikes, go-karts, and mopeds. This controller has eight connectors: Battery, Motor, Charger, Lock, Throttle, Brake Connector, Brake Light, and Pilot Lamp.

This controller uses a 3-wire throttle, and it is compatible with most 36 volt products equipped with 600-1000 watt motors. However, it is not compatible with 4-wire or Currie 5-pin or 6-pin half grip throttles. The throttle wiring is listed in the Specifications below.

You might need to cut and splice a few but not all of your old controller connectors. In addition, and depending on the production run, red wires may be closer to a pinkish color.

Controller connections as follows:

Battery Connector (Black & Red Wires, Thick)
Battery wiring. Same as OEM connector. Connect to your battery's connector. Black to Black, Red to Red.

Motor Connector (Blue & Red Wires, Thick)
Motor wiring. May be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing. Cut and splice (if necessary) to your existing controller motor connector or hard wire to your product’s wiring. Blue (controller) to Blue or Red or Orange (existing wiring), Yellow (controller) to Brown or Black or Green (existing wiring).

Charge Connector (Black and Red Wires, Thin)
Battery charger connector, may be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing. Connect to your product’s “charge” connector.

Power Locks Connector (Blue & Red or Pink Wires, Thin)
Key switch connector, may be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing. Connect to your product’s “lock” connector, or hard wire to your key switch wiring.

To Put Connector (Red, Black, & Blue Wires, Thin)
Hand throttle connector, 3-wire. Some tags may translated as "Speed rotating handle." Plug your 3-wire hand throttle wires into the three prongs on this connector. Black to Black, Red to Red, Blue to the third wire on your hand throttle (Blue or Green or other). Your product's throttle wiring may be included in the existing 6 pin connector on your wiring harness.

Brake Connector (Black & Yellow Wires, Thin)
Brake connector, may be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing. Connect your product’s brake wires to this connector. Your product's brake wires may be included in the existing 6 pin connector on your wiring harness.

Brake Light (Black & Red or Pink Wires, Thin)
May be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing.

Pilot Lamp (Black & Red Wires, Thin)
May be the same as the OEM connector, or may require cutting and splicing.

Note: All scooter controllers require a switch, (joined to the "Lock" connector on the controller wires), in order to complete the electrical circuit.

Questions

I have a schwinn s750, with a upgraded 1000 w brushless motor. Will this work on 1000 w brushless motor.
Unfortunately we've been unable to test this controller with a brushless motor system. It is a relatively universal controller, however the units we have seen it used on were brushed motors. We've not had stock on a brushless system to test the compatibility of it as of yet.
Dear Sir or Madam, I have an e-bike with a 36volt 400watts controller. It has 10"wheels. Will your product ,a 36volt 1000watts controller, be compatible or work, with no problems, on my e-bike? Or do I have to purchase something else to make it work. How can I make it go faster?
This controller would only be compatible with 600-1000 watt motors, so if your e-bike has a smaller motor, this likely would not work with the motor. To get more speed on your e-bike, you would want to consider replacing both the motor and controller with a higher-wattage option, but please be aware that increasing the wattage of your motor can decrease your overall run time. What are the physical dimensions of this controller (in inches)?
The physical dimensions are as follows: It is 1.125" in height, 2.75" wide, 4" deep and the mounting holes are 4.5" apart
Can the brake connector be used for electrical braking purpose or is it only indication purpose?
This controller contains a connector for "brake lights", and a connector for "brake". The "brake lights" connector will only work for the brake light indicator, and the "brake" connector would be used for electrical braking.
