The Vespa P series of motor scooters were the quintesential Vespa designs from the 1970s to the '90s. Available in three engine sizes; 125 (VNX), 150 (VLX), and 200 (VSX), the P model Vespas were renamed the PX series in 1986. Other than engine size, all three scooters used identical parts.

A later sub-series of the PX 125 is commonly referred to as the Vespa T5. Although very popular in Europe, the T5 models were never common in North America and are highly sought after.

The 2-stroke Vespa PX series scooters have had something of a reincarnation with the Genuine Scooter Company's celebrated Stella series of 2-stroke, 4-speed, classic-styled scooters that are still in production. The Stella is essentially a modified PX 150 made in India.

All of the Vespa P, PX, and T5 series of scooters use the 3.50-10 tire size, and a 12 volt, 9 amp battery.
