Description

When you need a replacement charger for your mobility scooter or chair our 24 volt 2.0 amp XLR battery charger for mobility scooters and power chairs is suitable for use on sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries of size 7 Ah or larger that are typically used to put the power back into the batteries. We give our mobility customers the option of selecting our Premium AlveyTech charger, or our "super-premium" Original charger that is the same as what you would find on a brand-new scooter fresh from the factory.

Both of these superb battery chargers feature the correct XLR connector that plugs right into the scooter's charger port. In addition, both models sport low voltage protection, short circuit protection, automatic shut off and easy to read LED displays. And of course both chargers are Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) Listed. Dry location use only.

  • Short Circuit Protection - Prevents damage caused when operating in a short circuit condition for an indefinite period of time. The charger is "self-recovering" when the fault condition is removed.
  • Reverse Polarity Protection - Prevents damage when positive and negative polarities are connected in reverse.
  • Fully Automatic Operation - Safely charges and maintains a full charge. The final stage of charging is the float mode and the battery may remain connected indefinitely. In this mode, the charger maintains fully charged condition.
  • Designed to Prevent Over Charging - Automatically switches to Float Mode.
  • Complete 3-Stage Process - Bulk Charge, Absorption, Maintenance/Float.
  • LED Display
  • Lightweight - Switch mode chargers are very much lighter than linear chargers.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The Low Voltage Protection feature on this battery charger will not allow the charger to activate unless it is connected to a battery pack that has a minimum voltage of 16 volts. Battery packs with voltages below that level of charge cannot be recovered or recharged. This is a safety feature to prevent overheating in the event of a faulty battery. This battery charger will not output any voltage to the XLR connector until connected to a battery pack meeting this minimum voltage requirement.

    Questions

My red light is blinking. What does it mean?
If it's the "CHARGING/FAULT" light that's blinking, that would indicate there is a fault. If it is continuously flashing, that means the charger timed out so you'd just need to unplug the charger from the wall and plug it back in. If it is flashing 1-4x every 3 seconds, that means there's another fault. If you still have the instructions/owner's manual for this charger, the manual includes the fault codes for troubleshooting purposes.
