Description

Think of a seat belt on a power chair as an investment in safety. These belts were designed for Jazzy and Jet power wheelchairs made by Pride Mobility, and they use the safe, secure, and very convenient push-button "auto-style" buckle system.

All of our Jazzy seat belts are adjustable and available in five sizes, with maximum lengths of 50", 60", 70", 80" and 90". This means that almost every user from petite up to bariatric size can have a perfectly fitting belt. They attach to the rear wheels' axles (the safest, most secure method), and are compatible with all Jazzy and Jet power chair models. The design means that these belts may be compatible with other power chair brands as well.

Our axle-mount seat belts for scooters and power chairs are made of a strong and durable 2" black nylon webbing, the same tough strapping material that is used in automobile and airliner seat belts. Simple and dependable push button "auto-style" buckles provide secure attachment, and are easily adjustable to meet the requirements of the user. The axle-mount means the belt is secured to a lower, stronger, and more stable part of the scooter or power chair.

Measuring your size:
It is a simple job to determine which belt you need on your Jazzy or Jet, but it is best done with two people. The intended user sits normally in the power chair's seat while their measuring assistant uses a tape measure to determine the length from one rear wheel's axle to the other, letting the tape bend around the sitter's lap. Don't get it too tight; you will want a little slack to compensate for when wearing winter clothing. Of course you can use a small rope, string, or piece of yarn and then measure that with a tape, but it's important to get a good secure "fix" on the axle with adhesive tape or a rubber band.
