Inexpensive but critical to a well tuned scooter, new gaskets and seals are often overlooked when servicing or repairing your scooter. Almost every metal-to-metal mating surface on a scooter's engine requires one type of gasket or another. Gaskets and seals keep oil, grease, gas, and other fluids in while keeping dirt, dust, and other contaminants out.

Whenever you need to open your scooter up for maintenance, you should have a new gasket on hand for when you reassemble your scoot.
