Our 24 volt 5.0 amp HP8204B battery charger for Drive Medical mobility scooters & power chairs is a premium quality battery charger made by High Power.

This charger is compatible with many Drive Medical brand mobility scooters and power wheelchairs that use off-board chargers with XLR charging connectors and it is a direct replacement for the unit that came with your Drive Medical scooter or power chair when it was new. HP8204B chargers were used as original equipment battery chargers by many mobility scooter and power wheelchair manufacturers.

The HP8204B features a 115-volt input, 5.0 amp output, and an automatic shutoff when battery is charged. It also includes a 10 amp GMA fuse and an IEC power cord.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed. Dry location use only.

LED lights indicate battery charge level as follows:
  • Red - Power On
  • Yellow - Charging
  • Green - Full Charge
  • Off - Disconnect

    Tech said leave charging 4 hours on green? Lights drop to yellow on chair after charging. Travels 1 block then lights drop?
    Most likely your batteries may not be able to hold a charge any longer. If you bought the chair used or if the chair has sat without use for a few months, the batteries do die out in storage. If you have a battery supply store nearby, we'd recommend bringing the batteries in for a voltage and load test. If the batteries fail, then the batteries just need to be replaced. But if they pass, then the charger may not be charging the batteries to their full potential.
