Tube punctures can spoil a cyclist's day. The Flat Guard Orange tire liner rim tape can be used to line the inside of 26" to 29" x 1-7/8" to 2-1/2" rims. Flat Guard tire liners make superlative tube protectors, being a shield or a buffer between the delicate inner tube and the rim.
It isn't just the obvious tacks and glass road hazards that the cyclist needs to worry about. Rim tape stops the inner tube expanding into the spoke holes. Without it you more than likely will get a puncture from the top of a spoke besides the holes having rough edges as well.
